Dynamics at very short distances (Planck mass) is being investigated from the point of view of noncommutative algebraic structures. Methods from noncommutative geometry to noncommutative differential geometry are used and developed. Quantum groups are used as well-defined mathematical objects to get insight into general structures. In this approach lattice structures are seen to arise on very general grounds.
